Dear Friends
This is the first newsletter of California News and World Report. It has humble beginnings, and we hope that we will always remember that. We are not out after prestige, currying favor with the current power elite, or being popular with any particular group. We seek the truth wherever it is.

We have started this publication now because the truth seems to be buried under layers and layers of lies and spin and sugar-coated by powerful interests for their own interests. The ordinary citizen around the world is the one left to suffer all the consequences.

We hope you will join us in our quest. Thank you.

Ullman is what they call a “defense intellectual.” He was the Navy's “head of extended planning” and taught at the National War College. One of his students was Secretary of State Colin Powell, who says he “raised my vision several levels.” What Powell and everyone in the Bush administration sees now
